Kerala Congress has suspended MLA Rahul Mamkootathil from the party following allegations of sexual harassment against him. This comes days after Mamkootathil resigned as the state Youth Congress President amid pressure from within the party and outside. The move is aimed at damage control, as Congress leadership fears that a resignation could trigger a by-election in Palakkad, NDTV reported.
