Construction of the mosque in Ayodhya will begin in May 2024, an official of the trust that is overseeing the mosque project said. The Supreme Court had in 2019 allotted the land where the Babri Masjid once stood for construction of the Ram Temple. It had ordered the allotment of a seperate five-acre plot for the mosque.
