The Ernakulam Consumer Commission has directed multiplexes to provide uninterrupted, clean RO-filtered drinking water free of cost during business hours and display clear notices about its availability. The order followed a 2022 complaint over food restrictions and high prices. While the complaint was dismissed, the court recorded PVR's assurance to continue offering free purified water.
