A housing project near Mumbai has sparked controversy after advertising a "Halal lifestyle township". The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has written to the Maharashtra government seeking a probe and an Action Taken Report (ATR). NHRC member Priyank Kanungo said the advertisement suggests Muslims face intolerance and wish to live separately to protect themselves.
