The US has rejected India's claim in the World Trade Organization (WTO) that the 50% tariffs imposed by Washington on copper products are safeguard measures. It added that there is no basis for India's proposal to suspend duty concessions on American goods. The US had cited national security concerns while imposing the tariffs.
