India's core sector growth slowed to 3% in September, from 6.5% in August, with weak performance in refinery products, natural gas, and crude oil, while steel and cement reported strong growth. Refinery output contracted 3.7%, while natural gas and crude oil production fell 3.8% and 1.3%, respectively. Coal production, which had surged 11.4% in August, slipped 1.2% in September.
