Fundraising through corporate bonds issued on private placement basis hit record high of over ₹3-lakh crore in April-June quarter of FY26. This comes as companies have frontloaded their borrowings, which is due to the drop in corporate bond yields following RBI's 100-basis-point rate cut between February and June. This record run in corporate bond issuance will reportedly continue through August.
