An elderly couple returning from the Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadashi pilgrimage was killed in a hit-and-run on the Pune-Solapur Highway. A speeding oil tanker rammed their bike near Bhigwan. The husband died on the spot; the wife succumbed in hospital. CCTV footage captured the incident. Police have registered a case and are tracing the tanker driver.
