A consumer court in Mumbai has ordered Britannia and a shop owner to jointly pay a compensation of ₹1.5 lakh to a woman who found a live worm in a packet of biscuits. It also directed that the woman should be paid ₹25,000 in litigation costs for the mental agony, harassment and physical discomfort caused to her.
