A Delhi court has restrained a Bengaluru restaurant from using 'Carnatic' tag in its name, saying it was deceptively similar to the mark of Delhi-based Carnatic Cafe. Court said the Delhi restaurant successfully established infringement of its registered trademark by the Bengaluru eatery run by Lemonpepper Hospitality. Court awarded ₹50,000 as damages and ₹10,000 as legal costs to Carnatic Cafe.
