COVID and flu viruses can awaken sleeping cancer cells in lungs of cancer survivors and can also cause them to multiply to enormous numbers, a study has claimed. Study's authors said that this can explain why cancer death rates increased early during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study stated such cells can trigger cancer relapse in one-quarter of breast cancer survivors.
