CPI leader Chandu Rathod, 47, was shot dead during his morning walk at Shalivahana Nagar Park in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning. Three to four attackers threw chilli powder and fired five rounds on him before fleeing, police said. His family claimed enmity with a rival Communist party member. Police added, "We're investigating all possible angles in the case."
