CPI leader D Raja criticised the BJP over Operation Black Forest and its push for a "Naxal Mukt Bharat" (Naxal-free India). He asked, "What is Naxal Mukt Bharat?...BJP also talked about Congress Mukt Bharat. What happened?...Tomorrow they'll say 'Communist Mukt Bharat'." He suggested that this operation would fail like 'Congress Mukt Bharat' and instead called for talks with Naxal groups.
