Presenting the Union Budget 2025-26 on Saturday, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed that "virtual digital asset" should be included in defining undisclosed income in order to strengthen the cryptocurrency regulations. This move comes amid several reports of unregulated cryptocurrency being used to hide illegal transactions, Hindustan Times reported.
