CBI arrested a Superintendent of Customs after catching him taking a bribe of ₹10.20 lakhs at Mumbai's Air Cargo Complex for facilitating clearance of consignments. The officer allegedly used to demand a bribe at a rate of ₹10/kg of imported cargo both for himself and his senior officers. The accused used to deliberately withhold consignments on non-payment of the bribe.
