Customs officials have discovered around 1,500 tarantulas which were hidden inside cookie boxes in Germany's Cologne. The shipment from Vietnam, was intercepted due to a strange smell coming from it, as per custom officials. A spokesperson from the Cologne customs said that the discovery left "even the most experienced among them speechless". Some of the spiders had died during transport.
