The massive nationwide general strike, or "Bharat Bandh," called by 10 central labour organisations across India in protest against central policies witnessed unrest in Kolkata. On Wednesday, protesters blocked trains at Belgharia, Barrackpore, and Shyamnagar railway stations. Protesters also took to streets in various areas of Kolkata. As a result, daily commuters and office goers faced problems.
