World number 13 Daniil Medvedev has been fined a total of $42,500 (around ₹37 lakh) for outburst in US Open 2025. He was docked $30,000 for unsportsmanlike behaviour and $12,500 for thrashing his racquet in his first round exit. Medvedev lost the match to France's Benjamin Bonzi with a scoreline of 3-6, 5-7, 7-6(7-5), 6-0, 4-6.
