The death toll in a blast at Hyderabad's Sigachi chemical factory has increased to eight. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for families of those who died and ₹50,000 compensation for the injured. "Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones," PM Modi said. The blast led to a huge fire, injuring about 20 people.
