The death toll in Punjab floods, worst since 1988, has risen to 37. The most number of people were killed in Hoshiarpur (7) followed by Pathankot (6) and Barnala (5). All 23 districts, 1,655 villages and 3,55,709 people have been affected by the floods. Schools and colleges in the state will remain closed until September 7.
