Germany's data protection commissioner Meike Kamp has reported Chinese AI startup DeepSeek to Apple and Google. It has asked them to remove DeepSeek from their app stores in the country. The reason for this is the illegal transfer of users' personal data to China. US tech giants must now review the request and decide on blocking the app in Germany.
