DeepSeek has delayed the launch of its next model, R2, after failing to train it using Huawei's chips, Financial Times reported. It had to train the model with Nvidia's H20 chips after facing "persistent" technical issues with Huawei's Ascend chips. This comes amid China's push to use Huawei/local chips, as it raised security concerns over the use of US-made chips.
