Delhi government has instructed the Labour Department to make necessary changes to allow women to work night shifts, provided they give their consent. Directions were also given to amend the Delhi Shops and Establishment Act to allow shops and establishments to work 24/7. The threshold for Act to apply to businesses would also rise from one to 10 employees.
