Delhi Culture and Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra announced on Wednesday that meat shops on the Kanwar Yatra route will be closed. “It’s a decision of Delhi government and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD),” he said, adding several of the meat shops were illegal. However, no government order has been issued yet. Kanwar Yatra is scheduled to begin from July 11.
