Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh announced a 100% waiver of Late Payment Surcharge (LPSC) on water bills, effective until January 31, 2026. The scheme applies to domestic and government consumers. Singh said that LPSC accounts for over 91% of total outstanding water bill dues. The compound interest on water bills has been reduced from 5% to 2%, he added.
