The Delhi government has written a letter to Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to put on hold policy which mandates fuel denial to end-of-life vehicles. The letter read the policy should be put on hold till "Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is seamlessly integrated across NCR". The ban targeted over 15-year-old petrol vehicles and over 10-year-old diesel vehicles.
