Delhi High Court on Monday overturned Income Tax Appellate Tribunal's (ITAT) order that had dismissed Samsung's plea to pause proceedings on ₹1,213-crore tax demand. ITAT had rejected Samsung's plea on November 22, calling it "premature" as the tax authorities had not initiated any immediate recovery action then. The tax demand was issued for assessment year 2021-22.
