The Delhi Police have beefed up security across the national capital for the Kanwar Yatra, deploying over 5,000 personnel from the Delhi Police and around 50 companies (comprising more than 5,000 personnel) of paramilitary forces. Traffic diversions have also been implemented. "We're in coordination with paramilitary forces...who'll be monitoring...through CCTVs and drones," a police officer said.
