Ahead of the upcoming kanwar yatra, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Tuesday that the Delhi government will provide 1200 units of free electricity to Kanwar camps in Delhi. She also announced that the Delhi government will give financial assistance to registered kanwar committees through direct benefit transfer instead of tender system. Kanwar yatra will begin around 11 July.
