Denmark PM Mette Frederiksen issued an apology for a birth control scandal that took place in Greenland in 1960-70s to regulate the birth rate in the territory. Around 4,500 Greenlandic women were fitted with intrauterine devices (IUDs) without their knowledge or consent, it was found. Frederiksen acknowledged that the women were subjected to "systematic discrimination" due to their ethnicity.
