According to dermatologist Dr Ekansh Shekhar, the viral claim that a mixture of turmeric, coconut oil, aloe vera and vaseline can "completely remove" periorbital hyperpigmentation in seven days is misleading. He explained that while these ingredients moisturise and soothe, they do not target structural or genetic causes of dark circles.
