Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) developed a device that can extract drinking water from air without any power or filters. The technology, called passive atmospheric water harvester, uses vertical panel of hydrogel to absorb water vapour from atmosphere. The MIT team tested the device in California's Death Valley, where it produced 57ml to 161.5ml of drinking water/day.
