DGCA met with airlines and directed them to ensure fair ticket prices for passengers during the upcoming Diwali season rush. The regulator asked airlines to augment flight capacities by deploying additional flights to meet high demand. IndiGo, SpiceJet and Air India airlines responded, saying they're deploying 730, 546 and 486 additional flights across 42, 38 and 20 sectors respectively.
