Dhakshineswar Suresh and Sumit Nagal won their respective Singles matches, which helped India's cause in the World Group-1 tennis tie. While Sumit overcame Marc-Andrea Huesler 6-3, 7-6(4), Dhakshineswar beat Jerome Kym 7-6(5), 6-3 to give India an advantage.
