Jagdeep Dhankhar, who resigned as VP, had not informed the Centre about accepting the Opposition's motion against Justice Yashwant Varma, from whose home burnt cash was recovered. According to NDTV, had the Centre been informed, its MPs would have also signed the motion. This upset the Centre as Dhankhar's move diluted its leadership's stand against corruption in the judiciary.
