A clinical trial from Turkey found that diclofenac sodium used alone as an intracanal medicament significantly reduced post-endodontic pain more effectively than calcium hydroxide or combination therapy. Pain scores improved across all groups, but DCS showed the greatest benefit, suggesting it may be a strong alternative for managing postoperative discomfort in root canal treatment.
