Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said isobutanol blending with diesel will be increased soon, complementing the ongoing 20% ethanol-petrol mix. He highlighted that biofuels from surplus crops like sugar, wheat, corn, and rice have boosted farmer incomes by ₹42,000 crore and supported the sugar industry. Gadkari also defended E20 fuel, dismissing concerns about engine damage or warranty issues.
