A recent study, published in Scientific Reports, which analysed 2,420 participants, revealed that older Americans who ate more copper-rich foods performed better on tests detecting early memory loss and dementia. Those who ate more copper-rich foods were mostly male, white, married, and had higher incomes, the research stated. It added that they also consumed more zinc, iron, and selenium.
