Scientists at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science in US discovered a rare dinosaur fossil beneath the museum's parking lot during a routine drilling for geothermal energy. The fossilised vertebra, dating back over 67 million years to the Late Cretaceous, belongs to a herbivorous ornithopod. It is the oldest and deepest dinosaur fossil found within Denver's city limits.
