International Master (IM) Divya Deshmukh created history on Monday by becoming the first-ever Indian woman to win the Chess World Cup. The 19-year-old defeated India's Grandmaster (GM) Koneru Humpy in tiebreaks in the final of Women's Chess World Cup 2025 in Georgia. With the win, Deshmukh has also become a Grandmaster (GM).
