As per reports, the DMK may stand by the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc in the Vice-Presidential election. By naming CP Radhakrishnan, currently the Governor of Maharashtra, political analysts have noted that BJP played the 'Tamil pride' card and requested its rival parties, including DMK, to support its nominee, who hails from Tamil Nadu. Radhakrishnan has been a two-time Lok Sabha MP from Coimbatore.
