Ganesh Rakh, a doctor at Medicare Hospital, Pune, has delivered over 2,000 girls for free in 13 years. He saw mothers being humiliated at the birth of a girl in 2012 and launched campaign to fight female infanticide. He was called "crazy" for celebrating the birth of a girl. "I choose saving lives over money," he stated.
