A gynaecologist Kantheswar Bordoloi performed 21 C-section deliveries within a span of 10 hours at the civil hospital in Assam's Morigaon. Following the incident, Additional District Commissioner (Health) Nitisha Bora issued a show-cause notice to Bordoloi, raising concerns over the health and safety of mothers and newborns. C-sections were performed between September 5 and 6.
