The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has denied recent reports claiming that 20% ethanol blending (E20) in petrol will have potential negative effects in future. "The narrative...that this blending...is harming vehicles or causing undue hardship to consumers isn't based on real facts," the Ministry said. "E20 fuel passed hot and cold startability tests without any engine damage," it added.
