Dogs can sniff out neurological diseases like Parkinson's years before symptoms appear, a new study has found. Conducted by the Universities of Bristol and Manchester in collaboration with Medical Detection Dogs, the research showed trained dogs could detect Parkinson's with 98% accuracy. The study found people with Parkinson's emit a distinct odour that can be identified from skin swabs.
