Dogs may show signs of addiction to their toys that are similar to the behavioural addictions in humans, such as gambling or internet gaming, according to a study published in Scientific Reports. Researchers found that some dogs refused to eat treats or showed cravings and withdrawal symptoms when their toys were taken away. The study was conducted on 105 dogs.
