Talking about Bengaluru stampede which claimed the lives of 11 people, BCCI Vice President and Congress MP Rajeev Shukla said Karnataka's ruling Congress Party should not be blamed. He stated the government cancelled roadshow to avoid stampede but hadn't anticipated such a huge crowd outside Chinnaswamy Stadium. The crowd had gathered to celebrate RCB's maiden IPL title win.
