DRDO and AIIMS Bibinagar have unveiled the first 'Make-in-India carbon' fibre foot prosthesis. It is expected to reduce the production cost of foot prostheses to as low as less than ₹20,000 in comparison to ₹2 lakh for similar imported products, PIB stated. The foot prosthesis will "support broader social & economic inclusion for people with disabilities," PIB added.
