On August 23, DRDO conducted the maiden flight tests of the Integrated Air Defence Weapon System (IADWS) off the coast of Odisha. This advanced, multi-layered system, featuring indigenous QRSAM and VSHORADS missiles, along with a high-power laser-based Directed Energy Weapon (DEW), marks a significant leap in India’s self-reliant air defence capabilities.
