Rajasthan government suspended Drug Controller Rajaram Sharma for allegedly influencing the process of determining drug standards after two kids died allegedly after consuming substandard cough syrups. The government has also halted the distribution of all 19 medicines manufactured by Jaipur-based Kaysons Pharma. The health department has vowed that all those involved would be held accountable.
